Ask students: how they are feeling today? Ask them: how they feel about themselves today?

Some will say they feel good and others not so good. Tell them that this is OK because there are days we all feel poorly about ourselves or our performance or our appearance. (Example: a bad hair day.)

Refer to Handout #6 entitled, “How to Feel Better about Yourself”.

Read aloud and discuss each item through a class discussion.
