Objective:

Class members will gain an overview of what factors determine feelings of self-worth.

Supporting Ideas:

  1. Students will gain a sense of how they feel about themselves.
  2. Show how developing standards and values play into how they feel about themselves.
  3. Students will learn how their actions, both positive and negative, define them as people.
  4. Students will learn about the development of standards and values.

Health Standard:

  • Standard 1: Students will understand health promotion and disease prevention concepts and practices.
    • Indicator 2: Students will analyze the impact of emotional, social, and physical health on various interrelated body parts.
      • Benchmark B: Examine practices which enhance personal emotional, social, and physical well being.
      • Benchmark C: Examine ways to avoid, minimize, or cope with adolescent health problems.
